Nocturnal animals and nighttime noises in the ninth Albert adventure
When Albert and his friends are woken up by nighttime noises, they gather in the darkness to investigate what has been going BUMP, THUD, CRASH and BANG. Can they solve the mystery and get a good night’s sleep?
Perfect for use in Key Stage 1 classrooms and for young children to read at Halloween, Albert and the Long Night teaches children the about different nocturnal animals that can be found in the garden such as hedgehogs, badgers, foxes, bats and moths. Throughout this mysterious story author Ian Brown uses gentle humour and charm to show children the benefits of friendship and teamwork, whilst also providing children a perfect story for before bed if they are a little afraid of the dark.
Eoin Clarke’s character-filled illustrations accompany Ian Brown’s charming story, and a fascinating range nocturnal animal facts complete the book, making it a fantastic addition to this popular picture book series.
The inspiration behind Albert the Tortoise is author Ian Brown’s family pet tortoise, also named Albert.
